Amen! It takes wisdom to "release the fear with hope" and to savor the present time that we have. This is very thoughtfully crafted and I can see why it won. Congratulations!!

Thank you so much for finding this poem which I wrote when I was very young.
I am delighted that you like it.

This is a beautiful poem in which there is all what can happen in life. I'm happy that you won the first place with it ! One or two years ago I wrote some haikus about Hope for a contest, and your poem reflects my thoughts about this theme.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing HOPE, one of the first ones I posted on Fan Story... Always nice to have writers read my older posted work.

Look how wise you were even at that young age!! Very impressive. And, better still, look how your writing has withstood the test of time! What a beautiful poem...and an equally lovely piece of artwork to accentuate it. No WONDER it won first!! Congrats to you! xoxo

Thank you so very much Rachelle...
I edited my Forevermore poem to include rhymes, not sure if it is too late... would you mind reading my new version?

Beautiful Lisa, even in youth we are able to take a moment to reflect on our mortality. We never age, just our stubborn bodies refuse to drink from the fountain of youth.
Thank you for sharing this ageless gem.

Congratulations on your contest win here, Lisa! This is a lovely little verse in which you simply and skilfully refer to this dichotomy of hope and fear upon which so much of our lives are based. It is by opting to follow the way of truth that we're able to let go of the fear and replace it with (life-affirming) hope. Less is always more and your succinct verse conveys the message much more effectively:) An inspiring read! Well done! Debbie x

Beautiful Lisa! Congratulations! It's wonderful how, at 2ternty years old, you had such a depth of spiritual perspective. I was two then, but those were "heavy" times. I was 2 but I had siblings who were 18, 15, 10, 2 (my 3- minutes older twin)
I like your beautiful presentation too. :))

Oh I just realised i won for my poem Hope, for the meaning of Life contest... not my other poem, because the contest is not over... That one is not a Blind contest

I wonder what was going through your mind so many years ago where you wrote something so profound. Living life is about hope and keeping it alive while doing the best you can every day. I am giving this poem six stars and hoping to see you on the front page.

The wonderful image chosen drew me right in! It is very true that without hope life does lack meaning. We need to look ahead, accept what has transpired, and "Move on to the truth and enjoy" (my favorite line here!)
Best wishes to you in this "Meaning of Life" contest!

This is a lovely poem and it amazed me that you had such a talent for meter and rhyme already back then. Along with the common sense and what it took to know to be a better person. Thanks for sharing this awesome poem of hope with us.
