I enjoyed reading this contest entry. It flowed smoothly and was very creative. Good luck with the contest.

Kiss her sweetly don't ya know (don't know about poetry but in prose, you would need a comma after 'sweetly')

Happy enough don't ya 'spose (same thing, comma after 'enough')

Stu, this was quite funny. I have heard the term 'puddin cups' in my formative years as I believe my dad would call my mother that. Honestly, I don't remember. But anyway, I'll keep my hands away from the 'puddin cups' now and head toward the creme brulee. You had me laughing.

I enjoyed your poem and the language used added authenticity to your poem. I have no idea what puddin' cups are or if it is a euphemism for something else. Also Creme Boulee? Is that the same as Brulee?

A fun, light-hearted read. I enjoyed it.

G'day Stu, never change who you are. You obvious have good sense of humour and a great character. Just for this Aussie, what is a puddin' cup?

Have the best day, mate. Jacqueline

This is great! It has a sort of jaunty sea-faring musical beat to it and is really very catchy! There is humour, nonsense and great fun here. Those puddin' cups seem to be the cure-all for everything...even death! Good luck in the contest, Stu! Debbie

Keep that going Stu. You have a unique style of your own and that's worth far more! Poetry is never one thing and shouldn't pretend to be. Personally I prefer 'giggle wiggle wacky all day long:)

This free verse poem has a certain voice that speaks through clearly and cleverly. I enjoy anything that is too serious or ridiculously serious, even funnier to me. The serious tone with which you describe these puddin' cups was very enjoyable to read. Excellent writing! Best wishes!

I have no idea what puddin cups are and perhaps this is an American saying? Not sure, but you have some inventive language here to give this write some authenticity, love Dolly x

This poem, Puddin' Cups, is a fun one that reminds me a bit of Service's earthy rhymes. There must be a special draw for these puddin' cups that can raise the dead. Funny.
