Within a family I've often wondered why people who where the same genes, the same DNA can be so different from one another, and conversely why people who seem so compatible get divorced or split, when they are supposed to having a closeness, faithfulness seems to be hard to find, beautifully written, blessings Roy

    Hello Roy:
Reason we differ from each other, even in case of Identical Twins, is we inherit Chromosomes from our ancestors who were of different combination of DNA and Mutation makes us unique. It is still a mystery beyond matching of the XX and YY combination that happens. Transgender changes are possible by intervention and that knowledge was ancient. We do not have knowledge of the mechanism of how our gender gets assigned. Story of a Princess who got her gender changed to male and fight a war, is found in the Hindu Epic of Mahabharata written at least 4000 years ago.
As a animal species, we have inherited a reptilian brain that controls our reproduction system and that is why we too need to spread our genes as widely as we can but because we are superior species, we developed societies that created marriage and moral codes to prevent in fights etc, between male and female. It does not stop us from getting attracted to others but we restrain our impulses based on what the consequences would be if we act on our love and mating impulses. The religious moral codes are also developed to preserve the institute of marriage. I hope you will read this novel from first chapter.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the rating. All the best.

It's a fascinating read. I only found one editing issue - a misspelled word.

I do not want readers to have a distorted view of me as a looser who walked away from the sublime love for Candy without a fight.

looser - should read loser

All the best,
Jan

Jan: Thanks for your encouraging comment. I had noticed that spelling error while editing but forgot to fix it. I hope you will read this novel from chapter 1 until end. This novel is a product of my personal encounter with a homeless woman in Los Angeles when I lived there. I was moved by the struggles of our citizens and their journey from a middle class living to the homeless life. I feel our society is becoming more and more insensitive to the suffering of humanity. All the best.

This is hard for some of us old fogeys to read. The print is small, and it could use another space between paragraphs. The story is interesting and nicely written, just a bit hard to read.

Prettyblue: I agree with you. I am of in the same age group you are in and have problem editing after uploading the text. The font of the original MS word document is large but after uploading it shrinks to such a small size that I have to struggle reading it. I am going to see if there is a way to keep the original font size.
Thanks for letting me know and also for the rating. All the best.

I type my stories on Word, then print them off and re-type them on FanStory. I use advanced editor, which lets me pick the size of the font. I don't think there is any way you can post them from Word and keep the original size of your font. Good luck.
