I'm jealous of it too. To have someone who listens and respects you ... awesome. Thanks. Gretchen

These two are so very good for each other. I hope they will be able to keep sharing and growing their relationship. It's based on mutual respect and help, and the knowledge that the metaphoric clock is ticking so fast makes them accelerate a little faster, too. And I like the lesson in that: What in the hell are you waiting for? Jump in, both feet, and don't hold back. These two KNOW the end is coming fast...but that doesn't mean that in ANYONE's life that isn't the case. At the risk of sounding morose and fatalistic, freak accidents happen every day. Say what you want while you still can.
So, with that in mind....Gretchen Hargis, you are a SUPREMELY capable, SOOOO very talented writer whose work brings me great joy. You have never once disappointed me because you bring out your characters' finest traits, hold firm to them, and make them grow into even BETTER characters who I root for as loudly as possible. I am so PROUD to say I am friends with a writer of your caliber.

Awe. You say the sweetest things. Lol. You see, I hold your critiques very high. Because you can spot flat, benign writing I value your reviews. You are an excellent writer and instead of just pointing things out, you offer solutions. Love that. So thank you. Gretchen

Another excellent instalment to the Iris and Jameson saga. Well done and thank you for this development. How they need each other!

It's a tough day for Jamison, but he seems to have accepted the inevitable. Some breaks can't be fixed, especially if one of them doesn't want any part of the marriage.

Poor Jameson, I feel so bad for him. He is such a good man. I'm glad Iris is there for him. I hope he gets custody.
Your chapter is engaging and easy to follow, the kind that readers want more and can't put down. I'm curious to find out what happens next! Well done.

I like Jameson's exchange with the lawyer. She asked some questions that helped clarify matters with the reader; as to whether, for example, Claire might have had an affair. Unless I forgot (which is an everpresent possibility), previous chapters hadn't mentioned that possibility as looming in Jameson's mind.
I would probably just gone home and sunk into a pit of depression. [This sentence needs a "have" in it.]

I don't think Jameson ever did think about the possibility of Claire stepping out on him. Slowly, he's seeing her for a human being and less of a goddess. Thanks for this. Gretchen

I know Iris will help Jameson through this. I'm glad he's moving forward. I like this story, a lot.
She puts the pen down and looks over at me. (adverb close to the verb, 'puts down the pen')

I can't say which story of yours I like the best, Gretchen they are both brilliant. You're a talented writer, that's for sure. I've just started reading Shine Baby. What a fabulous beginning! A stroke at twenty!
Anyway, back to this book. Jameson did the right thing, but I don't think the divorce will be as smooth as his lawyer seems to think it will. Claire seems to me to be a woman who has no idea what she wants until pushed. And now she's being pushed hard! At least Jameson has Iris to talk to, a third person is always good. And, of course, Iris has Jameson. He will be there for her even though they haven't known each other long, they have connected. Love this, my friend. :) Sandra xx

It is sad that the word 'commitment 'does not have any relevance these days. They spend a lot of money on marriage only to divorce after few years .These days a divorce is not a news at all
Good dialogues .Hope there would be some positive responses....

Another excellent and short chapter. You keep it moving well. the lawyer sounds interesting. Wonder if she has someone? Good, she is willing to look out for the men as well. I have a friend who was charged with domestic violence against his wife but she really was the cause of it, pretty sure. They divorced and both re-married.
