Yes, each day is a gift. I've skirted death many times. We tend to apply ourselves to the way out there instead of today. Today is really all we get. The moment really. Sen you my best today as, and my very best wishes for the contest.

Very good post and one I have to learn something from as I am recovering from Stage 1 breast cancer. I keep thinking it's worse than it actually is, or that I've been told. I have to be more optimistic and remember that they caught it in time.

This is a very well written Flash 100 prompt entry. You used very good descriptive and very truthful words. We should be thankful for our health each day we live. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Well done. Marvelous how you brought truth to light in a hundred words.
If you have experienced such a challenge in life, I can see how your profile is spot on ... thinker and veteran of life caught in a few thorn bushes

Thank you, again Tom. God lights the path and gives us exactly what we need to accomplish the task.

This one-hundred-word flash fiction story, Hope for All, has the proper word count and enters with a bit of levity, which forms into a reminder to live one's life before living is less desirable. Important.

Absolutely, live the life to the full has always been.my motto. A cliche? Of course it is, but also so very true. Your wonderful and shocking flash just confirmed my statement. Good luck with this little gem. Ulla:)))

You got it, Ulla. It's always a surprise to wake in the morning and greet a new day of opportunity. Leave the regrets behind and blaze a trail forward. (;-)

A very thought-provoking one-hundred-word flash story. Your subject is interesting to me as I have now passed my life expectancy. For the most part, I have lived a healthy life. And now my thoughts turn to the inevitable. Excellent, Terry.

Me and you both, brother. I'm on the down side of the last round up. I know where comfort comes from and where I'm going to end up.
My wife says I'll have to go to bible study for a million years.

Thank you so much, Lisa.
I'm surprised with the positive and thought provoking comments this little story has generated. A pebble in the pond as they say.
All the best, Yard.

Working in a pharmacy, I am very familiar with hospice and chemo. Sad to see one so vibrant suddenly start to deteriorate with disease. This was a clever reminder to take care of yourself. Nothing is guaranteed but it's best to take control where and when you can. Gretchen

Absolutely, Gretchen. It sneaks' up on us and our loved ones so quick.
One can delay but at the end of the day, the inevitable prevails.
All the best Yard.
