Iris has her good days and bad days. But she's a fighter. Gretchen

We really knew from her first thoughts of her doctor, but it still was so raw. You are a lovely writer.

Ugh. This is so excruciatingly beautiful. I love this book so much, Gretchen; I honest-to-gawd do. Thank you for making it so real and believable. Sad, but now mawkish. No melodrama, no forced feelings or reactions. Just everything so totally genuine and believable.

The very first word is misspelled.

Also, "sienna" memories, though not 'incorrect' --and points to you for being unique-- seemed like a snag to me. "Sepia," in my mind, conjures up the image I'm pretty sure you're wanting to evoke, whereas, "sienna" seems a little 'contrived' to me or 'romance novel'-esque. (As always, my opinion has the potential to be worth exactly what you paid me to offer it up...)

I could not think of Sepia for the life of me. Thanks so much for catching those spags. And the awesome feedback. Gretchen

A vein of sadness run through this entire chapter. One day we are all going to be alone.. This is well written and emotion filled .Both the characters seem to be struggling with myraids of emotions...

That was so sad. It worries me that I'll be alone and lonely one day, or Graham will. But we can't do anything about it. Photos are a lifeline, but like Iris, I have more of scenery, and not so many of family. I'll rectify that now. I think over the next few months, Jameson and Iris will become closer. Lovely story, my friend. :) Sandra xx

The story is vefy sad. She lost Lou and Daniel. Now she is dying of heart trouble... too much grief for one person. I'm glad she has Jameson.

Well done!

I love this story as it seems to me it always has a life lesson or event we can all relate to. It makes for powerful writing, and you have never fallen short of that since I've been following you, Gretchen. Great chapter! Best, JohnC

Another lovely chapter - rather wistful, this time. She's going to have a hard row to hoe, I think, and Jameson is, too. He sounds like a very kind young man.
Do you have time to read? Are you familiar with Jeffery Archer's books? He has a series out, and I have just read the first book and am waiting for the 2nd to be ordered from the libe. Anyway you might like them, The series is called The Clifton Chronicles, and the first book is Only Time Will Tell. I think you might like them.

I will check them out. I read a lot on here but not as much as I'd like of other authors. Thank you for the nice review and the book recommendation. Gretchen

This is a sad chapter for Jamison as he tries to understand what Ivy has just told him. Ivy is relieved she told him but wonders if it was the right thing. For Ivy knowing she has Jamison on her side is necessary to her peace of mind. Well written and full of feeling.

Thank you. Iris feels bad about laying this news on Jameson but she has no one else. Thanks for this. Gretchen

Another lovely story chapter. You keep us hooked on your writing. Just one spag. at my terrible attempt (at)a joke.

Changed the "aren't" invincible to "weren't" then deleted the change.

Gretchen-
One tiny correction early in the post-

"I'll keep it to (for) emergencies,

I'm beginning to wonder if Iris thinks her little boy would have grown up to he like Jameson. If that might be a connection she feels to him. Just a thought...

Excellent post. Near tear jerker...

She definitely is letting Jameson fill the void where Daniel was. Thank you for catching the spag. Gretchen
