I very much like your use of the word 'heralds' - perhaps the most significant word in the poem, with its many resonances - guardianship, warning, daybreak (as here) and those who proclaim on behalf of a great lord. In the Bible the 'heralds' are the malachim - the angels, who proclaim the glory of God. (See what I mean? 'heralds' is a brilliant word.)
then yes, now you are ready for anything: you should win the prize/the battle/the lady or the man - or maybe have a fantastic exam result.
