66666666666 I thought about just writing three sixes, but, since we are writers we know what troubles that could cause!

WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!! Now I want to invite them BOTH over for matzohball soup and hug them!! Oy. This is such a beautiful, BELIEVABLE, perfect relationship they're forging.
And, PS, duly noted: Claire and Amanda are assholes....though it does sound as if they come by it honestly.
Great chapter, Gretchen. (apostrophe needed for "couples' therapy."

Thanks for this. Amanda and Claire are both grass is greener girls. I've known a few like that. Thanks for this. Gretchen

I'm enjoying the dialogue here which really helps to bring these characters to life. The discussion between Jameson and Iris is particularly poignant and well executed and a real sense of a strong rapport emerges. Little confused by Iris' question: "How was your brother-in-law was it?" Thanks for sharing, Gretchen! Debbie

Real to life stories of people who've felt the pain of loss is something that most can relate with. But it makes it easier when what we read says fiction, even though the stories had to come from somewhere. Thanks for sharing.

I think I'm reading your book backwards. LoL
I don't think I got the characters right. I thought Jameson was a man and Iris the main character.
Anyway, either way is a wonderful plot and likable characters I can grow to love. I love their friendship.
So...if you could give me the names of the main characters and who they are in the story I would really appreciate it. After all, English is my second language, and due to a disability it's hard for me sometimes.
I'm enjoying your novel. Well done!

This is written in double first person points of view. Each chapter is one character's perspective. It's easier to follow by going to my portfolio and clicking on Coffee With Iris. Then you can read them in order. Thank you for reading. Gretchen

Okay, thank you, that makes more sense. I was so confused. LoL

So Jameson is gradually opening out to Iris. I think there is going to be some bonding there .I'm glad Jameson has a dog. They are the next best substitute for a family, I've found. If only they could talk!

Lol. I don't think I want to know what my dogs are saying. I get a lot of the side eye from them. I'm thinking the worst. Gretchen. Thank you for this funny review. Gretchen

I love the way they can be honest with each other. Byron and Iris don't think he is getting his wife back, and maybe he shouldn't. If he can only get his child back, he would be happy. Two suggestions: . . . sniffing Byron up . . . and you have no period after second to last sentence. Otherwise, it is very well written.

Dang git! I wanted this to go one. They were just starting to build on their relationship. They'd each stumbled onto some tender emotions and each was empathic with the other.
"You didn't have to."I say, but I'm thankful she did. [Comma after "to", not a period and a space before "I". See what happens when you write so well? I can only be useful by nitpicking.]

Thanks for catching that. I do need a proofer for my writing. I suck at it. Had Rami D do a couple of reviews and was floored with her expertise. Then I was embarrassed by all that was wrong. LOL. Thank you so much for this awesome review and feedback. Gretchen

Poor old Jameson, grieving for the loss of a relationship he truly loved, he seems to have lost Claire, Bryon call by and he shares that he seems to lost his love. Mandy, they commiserate together. James in meets Iris later and discuss it, Iris says Claire is playing him, which seems sad. Beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy
