Oh, my goodness!

This is the most precious poem I have ever read. It has all the elements of realism and wonderment for a child and all the passion and comfort it needs for an adult. I absolutely loved this one! Best, JohnC

You are good in telling this story about father and son relationship.

Fatherly love is equally as great as mother's. I like the way how you climb up onto his knees and ask for story reading and end your story reading the same story to him.

Why didn't you post this when I had a cache of sixes. I would have given you all of them. This was such a wonderfully warm poem. I can remember my own dad telling me stories that he would make up. I missed them when he passed. I love this full circle poem. Good luck in the contest. Gretchen

Beautiful and moving journey through the generations. Such a simple idea but no less effective for that - one of those, 'why didn't I think of that' poems. The rhyme and rhythm echo the innocence of the scene and the characters. Great stuff; thank you.
