This is a wonderful poem about the owl that you saw today and you turned it into a poem for us to read it. I enjoyed it. One time a few years ago when I lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico there was an owl that was sitting on the top of my car, which was sitting under a big willow tree, and the Alstott, about 2 feet tall, and when it took off, the wingspan of the whole, must've been about 3 feet across. It was a lovely sight to see. Patricia.

This is a great description of a hunting owl. Your words echo the action well and the rhyming is good. My only issue is that the second line of the last stanza seems a little long to me. Apart from that, this is a good poem

Excellent imagery in your verse as you describe the owl and its actions. Nature does sometimes require a life to sustain a life and the owl must hunt to survive. I like that you also feel for the vole that provides the meal.
