Your poem and picture combination certainly caught my attention as a lover of nature and our busy pollinators. During the summer months, I sometimes watch the bees almost as much as the birds, and my favorites, the hummingbirds. Thanks for sharing.

I'm so glad you like bees, too. Fascinating little creatures. I leave my hummingbird feeders out after summer, and the bees flock to them. Thanks for a great review.

A beautiful presentation Yvonne in which you took me right there into the garden with you. Your double refrains slip effortlessly into each verse, though I'm sure that took much effort. A lovely read, cheers

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! How nice if you were here with me in the garden.

The form works well with this content as the sound is continuous echoed in the continued repeats over the two lines, It could perhaps become boring with a different, less well-matched content.

Thank you for this lovely compliment.

I really enjoy reading these Double Refrain Kyrielles, especially the ones that are about a subject I like. The honeybees are so important to our lives, and the life of our planet. Your two repeating lines fit it with the rest so easily, you don't realise they have been repeated. I like that picture, too!! This is a lovely, bright and cheerful presentation, making the whole a pleasure to read. Well done, dear SATP :)) Sandra xx

That's a great poem, wonderfully descriptive - I can hear the buzz of those bees and they work their magic among the blooms. Thanks for your author's notes which explains the Kyrielle format. Best of luck in the potlatch challenge! Evi

A poem for these early summer days and the delightful sound of 'the buzz of honeybees,' as they go about their vital business' check every bloom and blade.'

Hi Yvonne, this poem is so sweet. We all need to be thankful for the buzzing bees because without them our flowers and food source would cease. This poem reads and flows well and has silky rhyming within.
Lovely photo choice. A pleasure to read. This poem made me smile.

Thank you. Yes, everyone needs to do what they can to help these wonderful creatures to survive.

Your poem is so fun to read aloud - you have me buzzing with the bees and with that double repetition "buzz of honeybees" and "breezes in the trees." Loved the poem!

I really don't know too much about bees, but I do know we as human beings would be sunk without them. So much of our existence depends on them and their success. Your poem was a picturesque moment in the sun. Great job. Gretchen

You are right. We wouldn't survive very long without them. Thanks for reviewing.

Your club poem is awesome, Yvonne. First of all,
the beautiful picture sets the theme perfectly. The
color scheme and font add to the enjoyment. Your
words were well thought out, descriptive, and smooth
flowing. I could see you sitting in your garden on a
beautiful day admiring the busy bees. Your repeated
refrain fit in seamlessly everywhere it was used to carry
the message. It adds to the meaning in each verse--not
just a repeat. Its meaning furthers the overall beauty of the
nature. You did a great job with the complex rhyme scheme,
the meter, and your important message. Bees are so vital
to man's survival. We need all of them. Without bees, I read
man would survive 3 or 4 years.
Bravo for the Bees, Jan

Thank you for this wonderful review. It's scary to think how we'd only survive that short a time without bees. I think people are becoming more aware of the problem. Hopefully.
