I like this poem and the accompanying picture. You deftly paint a picture of lasting romantic love. Also, I noticed you make rhyming seem easy. For me, this is not always the case. Thank you, I enjoyed this sweet poem. I cannot think of any line or stanza which needs improvement. Jennifer Smith

Thank you for this lovely review.

A fine write about a dance remembered and still repeated in old age. When love enters our heart and stays, we experience a deep connection, I enjoyed your uplifting words here, good rhymes and sentiments, love Dolly x

Thank you so much.

An abcb rhyme scheme and a regular iambic metre alternating between tetrameter and hexameter gives this poem an appropriate foxtrot like feel in which the dance is representative of the lives of the subjects.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of that.

Very charming and enlightening. This is relevant to me personally. I find it endearing and close to home. Well said. I wouldn't change anything about it, it reminds me of a person and myself as we join a journey of love and partnership together.

Hi Helen, you did a really great job of the Club entry. Your poem reads and flows well and is filled with great imagery. I especially liked:
My dear, we've danced our whole life through,
I'd do it all again.
(The above is most heartfelt and has good sensory appeal.)
Great rhyming. Well-chosen photos. A pleasure to read. Xo. M

A beautiful reflection, and it's always good to see and read about love that lasts a lifetime. Your poem very well suits the prompt of Life's Dance. The rhyme, rhythm and flow are all smooth and well done.

Very nicely done on this one. I loved reading it as it has so much truth in it and I imagine there are quite a few couples that still dance together. Great job.

Yes. I was thinking of the times the wife and I dance before the big bands. Artie Shaw and his group at the crystal Ballroom in Oklahoma City. Thanks for sharing. Very, very, good.

. . .and what a beautiful memory the couple has made for
their life together, Yvonne. The 2 pictures were perfect to
show the progression of time. Through it all--the ups and
downs they relied on each other with true love that never died.
The lines about doing it all over showed the depth of their
live. You did a great job with your poem. The rhyme scheme
worked perfectly, your lines read smoothly, and the message
was truly special.
Thanks for sharing and participating, Jan

Thank you for understanding what dancing meant to them.

I love these types of scenarios. Be it in poetry or prose. The unchanging feeling of some small act that has been there from the beginning. My husband and I walk. Our relationship started with walks. They are a go to for us when we want to reconnect. Beautiful sentiment. Gretchen

That's so nice. Walking is a good way to stay connected.
