Love this. My birds are at the feeders both and during the day. I think between the squirrels and the Blue Jays, my feed bill has doubled. Great poem, beautiful photo.

This monchielle, From Morning to Night, has the proper formatting and allows that all creatures big and small have important work to perform from dawn to dusk.

This is a fine example of the type of poem that needs the discipline of form as it describes a day in the life of the birds that also needs the discipline of regularity. Here the form enhances the poem, form and content nicely paired. It wouldn't have worked as well with free verse as the form and content would have been at loggerheads.

A very atmospheric post! I enjoyed the way you introduced these lovely examples of nature during the course of the day, a cycle of happiness and wonder. A perfect verse form for this theme. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

You, my friend, are amazing. How you make all these different poetry formats sing! This is lovely, Yvonne. And your presentation is stunning (as usual). Thank you for sharing!

Hugs right back!!!

I enjoyed this one, as you noted the habits of the birds, then the flowers, then the crickets and finally the humans. Each has a particular routine to be enjoyed, and to give fulfilment and satisfaction. It's an interesting and different format, and you accomplished it well.

Birds are also creatures of habit and once you put food out, they expect it everyday. Your repeated lines made me think that you are regularly having to buy them food as you meet their hungry requirements here, a fun post Yvonne, love Dolly x
