What a creative and calming poetic offering, Melissa!
I can see this offering in a children's book of poetry.
I especially love the second half of your poem:
I stand
very still so
that one might
land on
me.
Beautiful!
Thank you for sharing!

This short verse is an excellent portrayal of the ideas that float like butterflies down upon all of us as we write our poetry. I love the picture of the bears standing all over the field while the blue butterflies float down and around them causing them to unite and stand for peace and prosperity!
This is just what this poem caused me to create while reading it.

You did it again, Melissa. I truly love your short works. You know how to move others by connecting artwork and simple words. I love the authenticity of "I stand very still." There is absolutely nothing wrong with the word "delicate," but I don't think that you need it.
Well done my friend.

-Nice image and presentation, Melissa.
-I like your topic and formatting of the poem.
-You create a peaceful mood in the first verse
with the verb 'flutter' and comparison of ideas
to "delicate butterflies."
-A good second verse showing how you
are enjoying the butterflies.
-Well done.

What a delightful presentation.
I gazed in awe just like the bears.
Your verse is simply stated yet packed with simplicity and wisdom.
I especially enjoyed the last stanza as I love butterflies and it's such a joy when one lands on me.
Blessings

I love the imagery and sentiment of this poem. There is no doubt that ideas, like blessings, do flutter down to us all the time. We need only be still to recognize them. And being grateful helps too. Enjoy those that come to you today.

How do you tell a good idea from a bad idea when it is in the fluttering stage, beautiful and beguiling? I trust you will have ideas as good as this one land on you.
