I didn't know 'men only' bars existed, they did here once, and even in the lounge, where couples could congregate, a lady had to be joined by an adult male, but those hypocritical are long gone now. My wife still meets with former colleagues and friends from two schools she taught at monthly, you're fortunate in Europe, although we've been to Scotland, Ireland and England, (I was born in Liverpool, and have been back several times) travelled, Europe, North America, Asia and of course the UK, but so easy for us, a long way away, beautifully written friend Debbie, blessings Roy

What a nice poem to memorialize the friendship bonds that can be formed between women. Those bonds continue on even after life takes its toll on the members and the group as a whole.
