Love it. You wrote it very well and I enjoyed all the different voices. Have to admit to feeling a bit guilty about pruning my roses yesterday! Lol. I do wonder what they were saying about me! A fun response to the prompt.

This was an interesting look into how plants interact with each other. It's amusing that they can also speak to the caterpillar. Back in Hoonah we had a year where the Wooly Bear caterpillars were all over the place. It was disgusting. I don't know how many I killed, but they weren't going to eat my flowering crab apple without a fight. So you speak to your plants? I talk to the fish I catch, and of course to cats and dogs, but I can't recall speaking to plants, but maybe I do and I just am not conscious of it.

We are well used to to talking animals but this takes us one further step into whimsy with talking plants. Our recently crowned king, Charles III admitted years ago that he used to talk to plants but I can't remember if he claimed they spoke back to him or if he believed they held discussions amongst themselves. But if they did Doubtless they would go something like this. Great fun.

Thank you. I read years ago in the Smithsonian Magazine that trees communicate with each other. It only makes sense that other plants do, too. They grow better when talked to. How are you enjoying your new king? I've lost interest in all of them since the Queen is gone.

Girl, you are a mess. Like this. I used to fight these green babies with the ugliest head I have ever seen. They loved balding my tomatoes plants. Reminded me of Russian women. Good one, Arkie.

Being color blind, I appreciate the extra line to separate the color coded dialogue. I don't have a garden but I did talk to my plants. Lol. This was a fun piece of fiction. I enjoy how they talk about you in the third person. Gretchen
