Hey, Maybe I have ADHD and have gone undiagnosed? Apparently, I have read and voted for these and not reviewed them. I'm doing a little catching up on posts I have missed. Sign me up for the rare, please. Or as my dad used to say: Cook it so a shot of penicillin will bring it back to life!

I like the way you interpreted the poem challenge. I like how you played with the font color to emphasize those parts of the poem. Best of luck with the contest.

A fun 'opposites' post if making me feel a little bit queasy! I enjoyed your imagery with the two and your imagination in not going for the tried and tested opposites! Thanks for sharing and good luck! Debbie

Author, as a vegetarian I abide by the knowledge that the human capacity for cruelty, denial and hypocrisy will not be resolved until we change what's on the end of our forks. We are what we eat is such an interesting thought to entertain, even though being broccoli is not truly appealing to me.

I am also not convinced that done and rare are antonyms as both words are quite abstract. I think cooked and raw work better in this context but the choice is yours to make of course. Clever pun in the title.

That said, wishing you all the best with the voters and thank you for sharing. :)

LOL, Hi Gloria,i can't believe how much attention this silly little poem is getting. I have changed it twice for people saying that it just wasn't right and once me thinking it. It started at cooked and raw, then I was told that did not describe this meat at all. That cooked and raw were more for vegetables, so tried scorched and rare, then went to burnt. I was told that I should stay with the restaurant's wording for it as well done and rare. So now I am a little confused. . I guess since it has been this for most of my reviews, I feel it might be dishonest to change now. I just don't want to do the wrong thing.
Thank you so much for your awesome feedback and kind comments.
I do appreciate it very much Gloria.

There's much food for thought with this nice little entry. Temperance and finding the sweet medium in life. I take this is a statement of character and we can find success when our life is tempered just right. Thanks.

Interesting poem entry for the Antonym Contest. I like my stake medium done. You did a good job following the contest rules. The presentation is nice.

Dear Poet, yes, there can be
some things exactly opposite
of each other, such as these
steaks, fluffy clean hair and
oily hair, hot and cold beverages, friendly and
not so friendly people, etc.
This is a strong contender for
the contest. Best of luck. ~

Lol... your poem made me laugh. My husband and I are the opposite though I do like mine more medium rare to medium. He definitely likes eating his shoe steak. Thanks for the laugh, and best wishes in the contest.

I get it. I get it. But isn't RARE as done as the person wanted it?
How about OVERCOOKED or BURNT?
It's yours to do with as you please. That's the beauty of poetic licensing.

Haha, actually I had originally started w scorched, then burnt and was told that people would relate better to what the restaurants classify it as; well done, med, rare. Only one syllable each. I'm with you on that but I like my scorched but was told nope. Hey thanks dear friend. Appreciate it!

I did not read where it said syllables. So I assumed wrongly? That said, without has (2) syllables. Haha

Yet, as I always tell my husband I love when you say those three words, those wonderful three syllables to me. "I was wrong"

Out of curiosity tho my sweet friend, I didn't catch what you meant about without having two syllables. The only syllable count was the antonyms
