Hi Melissa,
Very nice entry for the Antonym contest. You've chosen total opposites for your first and last lines. But what I like best is the personification of "dusk",
"walks in twilight shadows through the glen
embracing slumber's deepest rest"
You've brought it to life, a wandering force, a ghost through the trees... until birds awake the dawn.
Good Luck in the contest!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you very much, Monica.

It's clever to use the word Twilight as it covers both dawn and dusk. I liked the use of personification and alliteration. Hope this does well in the contest!

I like how you handled the poetry form using dawn and dusk. The way you bring the reader along through the night to get to dawn is nicely done. Good luck in the contest.

You have penned a beautifully descriptive verse using antonyms. It flows naturally, while painting a soft and masterful image of dusk to dawn. I enjoyed reading this several times.

The evening process is always fascinating to me and I love sunsets and the fading light and the sleepy feeling and then waking refreshed at dawn ready for a magical day, a fine write for the contest and I enjoyed the contrast here, love Dolly x

This is an excellent post, and a darn good entry in this contest, Dawn and dusk are fabulous times of the day, the Dawn speaks of a fresh start, a new beginning, and dusk, putting to rest the cares of the day. Beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy
