Your poem made me think of a scene in my all-time favourite film Wuthering Heights.
Heathcliff, once again mistreated by Hindley (Kathrine's brother) runs through the moor to his and Kathrine's secret hideout, where she s waiting.
The atmosphere is eerie and the two find solace in their embrace.
The only thing different from your poem is that there is a chilling wind. (wink)

You have chosen perfect words to describe an eerie moonlight and a creepy darkness. And there is no telling what those shapes could be in the dark. Moonlight is not always romantic. And silence is not always silence. Well done!

Yes indeed, when I was a child I was a little frightened of the dark, but nothing that hiding under the bedclothes wouldn't fix. This is beautifully written my friend, good luck in the contest, well done, blessings Roy

Rod,
I recently re-read Beowulf. Now there is a dark moor I don?t want to visit. With a multiple choice question, I would have selected Grendel, but I had to read the saga to remind me of the monster?s name. LOL
