This reminds me of that thing who raised up from the ground and got Johnny More's little boy. Nobody know where it happened and where the thing took him but it was a fact the kid was gone. Good one, John. Perhaps the devil and that thing teamed together.

I knew you'd have the most entertaining story! Thanks so much, John. The pasta names were hilarious and I guess the pasta-stealing devil was entirely your imagination. Lots of fun with this!!

Helen, I had a "Devil" of a time coming up with a story.

Thank you for those six stars. So appreciated.

Funny story, John. I visited the Jersey pine barrens once when I was invited to play golf at the famed Pine Valley Golf Club. I didn't happen to see the Jersey Devil, although I did spend a fair amount of time in the trees hunting for errant shots. I do recall having pasta for lunch, though, so I guess he hadn't robbed them yet.

Very enjoyable story! Jim

Ha ha ha, this is an inventive and funny story John and I loved your fun write as the evidence is slowly dwindling! I expect the rats are eating it and getting fatter! This devil we can do without though, you made me smile, a very entertaining write, must have been an Italian who dumped this, are you sure it wasn't you John? Ha ha ha, Love Dolly x

This is clever story to go with the news of the dumped pasta. With an Italian like you around I'm sure you would be guilty of wasting all that pasta so it must have been the Jersey Devil. I 'm surprised there is a state with only one devil it can blame.

I never knew New Jersey had swamp lands, I guess I just never thought about it. Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. It was fun to read. I do miss pasta. My husband was recently diagnosed as Type 2 diabetes, so pasta days are pretty much over. I enjoyed reading this cute story.

Wow, though not like the story told us on a Scout hike in '60 we were frightened by a story of the Jersey devil that kept one of us on watch the whole night through while camping in the Jersey Pinelands. Thanks.
