Love the very appropriate names you've used. Lol.

You named every pasta I've ever heard of or tried plus many that I didn't know existed. It all made me hungry. The names of your characters were clever, and the entire story line was creative. Well done.

"This could this be the work of the Jersey Devil," (remove one THIS)
play with there friends (their friends)

I wish I knew about the Jersey Devil when we drove down in that area when we were with thre Girl Scouts on our way to Savahah. I would have known to keep a lookout for it. It is fascinating to know the origin of the myth. Then the Jersey Devil become the scape goat just like Snowball in Animal Farm. Anything that went wrong was Snowball's doing.

Hi John, a fun story. When I first heard this story, I thought that perhaps a restaurant went out of business. Later, I heard that it belong to a hoarder person who died--don't know if that's true or not. However, that pasta could have fed a lot of people.

Of special note:
"Our children, Manicotti and Orzo are afraid to go outside to play with there friends, Lasagna and Capellini," she said. "Something like this never happened before. It's frightening. I'm afraid to take my baby, Pastina, outside for a walk in the stroller."

(Poor baby Pastina, she doesn't yet know that there is a shortage of pastina. What will she eat?! Lol)

Great history of the NJ Devil for those who don't know it. Here's a little tip--Never going driving through the Pinelands with an almost empty tank of gas. I did that before the days of cell phone and GPS maps for directions. After coming from an appointment, I got twisted around in the Pinelands and was sort of "lost." Luckily, I found a main road before running out of gas. By the way, the gas station was only a few blocks from the house. I thought, no problem, I'll get gas on my way out--duh...it would have been helpful if I could have remembered my way out. Lol.

John, good descriptive writing and photo sketch. A pleasure to read. This story made me smile. Well done. Margaret

Thank you, Margaret. When I was writing this I thought of you since you live in NJ. I was amazed at the number of reviewers that heard of the NJ Pinelands or have been there. I?ll bet your gas tank has been full ever since?

That was a crazy news item last month, right? He should?ve donated the pasta to a church. It was wasteful.

Well,,thank you for reading. As always, I appreciate it very much!

I believe that it was Giovanni Gnocchi in a fit of rage, and uncontrollable jealousy who threw out the noodles when he found his wife Franca Farfalle in bed with Carlo Cannelloni. Don't be blaming the devil.

Years ago I wrote a story with the deli meats coming alive. I should tweet it and open it up again.
Thank you Ginda for this great review!

Well this is a cute story of how the devil showed up in society and took revenge out on everyone and everything. He will be big as a whale if he devours all that soegetti.

This work has reached the exceptional level

This is an excellent story. My son lives near Toms River so I have experienced the Pine Barrens. The story explodes with creativity. The foodie names added to the fun of the story and I love the ending. Have a blessed day.

Well, I'm thrilled the forest critters ate the pasta.
You did a great job with your club response, John.
I enjoyed reading and found the pasta names of
the characters great fun. I believe Miss Penne and
L. Bo MacRoni were left out of the investigation.
Hmm, could they have been suspects? Maybe
Verm I. Celli was in on it too. Maybe they found
the corkscrew in the woods and all hit the dessert
wine. I found no Spag he ti.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Buon appetito! Enjoy your pasta.
This a creative and fun response to the prompt. You do a terrific job of drawing the reader in with the Jersey Devil legend and then you drop in the mysterious appearance of 500 pounds of pasta. Could it be the work of the Jersey Devil? Stranger things had happened...
