Ha, I really got a charge out of your interpretation of the pasta mounds found in New Jersey. I laughed at who the pilferers might be, animals, birds, residents. lol. I'd go with residents first.
Great ending and a fine contribution to the Club.

Not really sure whether the Jersey Devil really exists, at least in the minds of the local residents, but I did enjoy the imaginative spiel once you started dipping into the pastabilities on offer.
Well done.

Love it! Love it! Love It! This is right up my alley. Two of my favorite subjects, pasta and cryptozoology! I have watch tv shows about the Jersey Devil and know the story behind his origin. Excellent writing here that held my interest and brought a smile to my face. I think I will cook up some veggie lasagna.

What a fun read with everyone bearing the name of Italian dishes, all made with some sort of pasta, I imagine. Great story about the
birth of the Jersey Devil.

Very clever. Nicely written.
Error-free, near as I can tell.
I'm having trouble seeing how your creature, the Jersey Devil, could carry any pasta at all, let alone 500 pounds of it and still fly, though.
(smiley face here)
Best wishes.

Hi there, the name Jersey caught my eye. I live in old Jersey C. I.
This is a strange story with a historical origin. Pasta, now that is an odd food to dump in the country side. Well written and deserving of high ratings. Mel.

Jersey City; is about one hour north from me.

From the beginning of this story, I was expecting something far different than this ending! It was entertaining, though. I like that you merged the story of the Jersey Devil with the pasta story. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

This makes me hungry too! I have a weakness for pasta. My friend had Fettuccine Alfredo for lunch and I almost attacked her. This is a very fun story. You did a great job with the Pastabilities.

Rox,
Any pasta is viable to serve the weakness.

Hi John,
you crack me up... the police names brought an instant chuckle out loud... and followed up magically by the two mayors... hmmmm, Linguine!
Why have I started to salivate?
Oh my friend, you've made a meal out of this story!
Yeah, bad pun, but a tasty one!
I been leaning toward the homemade pesto on the penne rigate, with a generous helping of olive oil, extra fresh cut garlic and my hot little chillies finely diced... the one's who reside not far from my back door.
Nothing like easy access to anything that accompanies food, and is food.
But I am a sucker for a good seafood linguine... and, and, and, and.
It's Italian, Pasta's involved, I'm eating it! But please don't start naming your characters after deserts... please!
Well, that took me right away from reviewing, the reading of, all in the name for the love of Italian food.
Sneaky devices used in creating this masterful menu... I mean, story, sorry!
Very creative John... and thank you for the chuckle, and of course the dribble and drool I now have to control from dripping all over me from an overactive salivary glands. Thanks for that! Smile(((((((((((((((.
With our thoughts we create...
combinations of delights.
Kind regards,
James.

Hello my brother?
Thank you so much for reading and sharing. Sorry for the late reply, "I?ve been working like a dog" to quote a Beatles line.
Finally got a day off today (not really an off day, twisted my knee at work, so what the heck, I?m 68 I can take a day)?
You?ll have to check a post I?ll send later today on a pasta sauce I conjured up this morning.
Blessings my friend! I hope you?re feeling better.
John
