This is a fascinating piece of biographical prose, well written and constructed with skilful development of the story leading up to the final assault which contained impressive imagery and description. This was the culmination of a lengthy period of provocation, verbal abuse and humiliation and the reader is inevitably very empathetic towards the writer. Thank you so much for sharing this brave and stunning account of the misery you suffered in the 70s. Debbie

Debbie: Thanks for your great review and comments. Please note that this is a fiction based on my observation of a white woman of about 50 years old living on one of the avenues in Hollywood as a homeless person. I used to wonder what brought to her to this level and a story began to form in my head. I have seen abject poverty in Appalachian mountain communities of miners when I was working for the government in 70s. All the best.

It all became so real in this very stirring piece with such perception!

I am glad that this story is shaping better than I expected. I think, my subconscious mind absorbed lot more emotional upheavals after seeing the homelessness in LA when I lived there, and now, my mind is filled with thoughts of inequalities of human Societies. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I never thought that school boys(girls too) were so cruel. Humiliating a girl with lies and when he was beaten up humiliating him to the extend of destroying his self worth...
If one does not conform then that is it....
It is a daringly honest write up...

Thanks for your encouraging comments and the ratings. Cruelty I believe is part of human psyche. Children often do not understand the pains of others who are not like their own images developed by parents and societies they live in. It's a universal phenomena.
