As I delve into the fascinating article, I am enthralled by the concept of an individual blessed with foresight and a mystical 3rd eye. Imagining their intuitive gaze piercing through the fabric of time fills me with wonder. Their profound insights transcend the mundane, leaving me in awe of their spiritual wisdom. Their unique ability to merge divination and enlightenment is truly extraordinary. This article has sparked my fascination with the extraordinary powers of the human spirit.
Signed thankfully appreciate it SAPIRE

This was lots of fun and ended very well considering how badly it could have happened. Enjoyed the dialogue and how the busybody brother ended up helping Steve and Cheryl renew their commitment!

Thank you Helen. You might know this was about me too. I just changed some names. Evan's brother was the one who almost sabatoged our relationship and was responsible for me deciding to get married when I did. LOL

Well, it seemed believable! But it could have happened in today's timing, too.

Neat format. Challenging. Nice surprise ending.

You write = What's wrong with sitting with friends when you're having coffee and pie.

My edit = What's wrong with sitting with friends when you're having coffee and pie?

You have told quite a story, using only dialogue. Very well done. Clearly presents the truth that we must be careful in our conversations - what we see is not always what we think it is.

Thank you Anne. I really appreciate the review and comments. It's based on a true story. My brother-in-law was the one who told my husband about seeing me with those guys. I did agree to marry him because I was afraid I mgiht lose him even thought I was only 18 and was hoping to wait until I finished collage. I don't regret the decision as we had 61 wonderful years together.

The opening paragraph places the female character in a tight predicament.

Some people, like "Steve" appears to be, can not keep their big mouths shut and make assumptions before gaining the facts of a situation.

So Steve got his comeuppance and "Cheryl" broke up with him.

Like you stated "You never know who you can trust."

Well, how things turn around and this story was one of those! Someone putting two and two together and coming up with five! I have actually been witness to a similar occasion (from a distance), and that story was wrong! If only people would mind their own business eh! But, with this story, karma came around and got the gossipy Jake! Great story enjoyed the read.

Brilliant!! I hate people who tell tales without checking out the facts first, they can hurt so many people. This was so well written and a fabulous dialogue only story. Well done, my friend, and good luck! :)) Sandra xx

Thanks for breaking up the dialogue with bold vs italics - when people use quotation marks for every comment, the speaker gets lost.

I like the way Sandi handled this - telling Steve that he needed to be minding his OWN business a little more closely instead of worrying about her.
It's ironic that Steve says, "You never know who you can trust." He's the one I would never trust.

Great little story, Beth. Good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed reading this story told through dialogue. The story was very entertaining, and you managed to tell it well without many words. You never know who you can trust, indeed! Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

You did a good job of making it clear who is speaking. And irony is alive and well went a tattletale ends up getting dumped and a guy who believes his girlfriend gets married.
