firstly, a big fat sincere congratulations on such and achievement and milestone in your writing career/pleasure.
So, I'm not going to tell you how insignificant I may now feel after reading this post, as yet again I see and read these mammoth milestones appear before my eyes reminding me... maybe I may make my third post and be rated as a poet/writer sometime this year? Well, one can hope can't one? Smile(((((((.
I'm sort of glad I read this story after your mother's day tribute... hmmmm tribute? As I would have again given an exceptional rating on this story as well, but alas, and yes the site's old cliché... I'm sorry I have no six's left... and that sort of reminds me of that song, I have no bananas, I have no bananas today. How bizarre? I must be losing it! Hmmmm, lost it?
A great example of the usage and conservation of word and explanation to construct a tight and neat conclusion... thanks for today's lesson teach!
I enjoyed reading your creative take in this story/essay... and yes, you are a writer, a weaver of words and thoughts, respected as such by me and from what I can ascertain, many other peers within our community.

Hoping our youngest daughter will have a good job and housing situation as she's not moving with us. We just dropped off our nephew who came to help us. More views of our house are planned on Monday. Heading home now, a ferry ride and a couple of hours

I spoke with someone on the phone yesterday who remarked I didn't sound as old as I was, I simply said, age is only a number, I still have plans, ambitions and aspirations, I haven't lain down yet, I don't think of myself as old, I want to see my loved ones reach their milestones, I don't want that interrupted just yet. I feel this way when I manage to open a packet these days as getting into some products even with a pair of scissors is like breaking into Fort Knox! I always shout! (I did it). Congrats on your 750 milestone Wendy and this is a fun and endearing write about your Granddaughter and how you celebrate with her when she achieves those little milestones, love your story here, love Dolly x

Thanks so much Dolly. I agree. And vacuum sealed jars hat are so hard to open! And the tiny instructions in size 4 font in pale printing. Ugh. That?s what makes me feel old. Thanks too for the congratulations.

Congratulations! I loved your list of milestones that included minor things like pushing oneself on the swing. Cute picture. Great examples throughout especially the sky diver at 80. I put that on my bucket list but have discarded the idea for fear of messing up my spine again.
