Debi, I really appreciated how you held back on "the reveal" until the last stanza. A lovely poem and tribute to your faith in Christ. I know you enjoy writing Bday poems and other homages to fellow writers, but its when you go off topic a bit and share your soul that your poetry shines.

Thanks for this lovely gem of a review too my friend. Wow, I cannot thank you enough. I love shouting about my faith in any way possible, so this one was fun to try to hide it until the end. The only way I could do that is to use all caps and only one person said something or questioned about the fact that I did that. Until I explained why I had to or I would have had to go without capping the He and His...etc. and I never could do that any more than I could think of capping satan's name.

I don't know if you noticed that I had done this one all in capital letters, as I wouldn't think of referring to my Higher Power any other way, so it was the only thing that I could do. Lol, the only reason I asked because I always love your thorough reviews and thought you might ask about it. So you were one of the few that I made a mental note to ask. This is a nice image presentation. You certainly wrote a romantic poem to our Jesus. The love you share is for a lifetime I would say. Good concluding lines; He will always love you. He outstretches His arms wide.

Thank you for this lovely review and such kind words for this poem. In some ways I am more like you than you may realize. (I mean by being hurt so badly by the male species) After molestation and rape made me a vulnerable mess, that at best felt that I wasn't worthy of love and went thru life with a kick me sign on my back, became a complete people pleaser and tolerated abuse because I deserved it. So there was a time that Jesus needed to pull those dying petals off of me, so that there was room for fresh growth and a new beginning. That is why this only goes back for forty years relationship with Christ. Before then I was merely a part time Christian, when it was convenient. I am sure you maybe did not need to know all of that, but I think it has much to do why I can't help but check up on you here and there. I do care about you so much... And dang proud of you for that 5-7-5 poem you did !!!! Lol.. thanks again my sweet friend.
