What a beautiful statement of faith! I love the verses you chose to use in this poem and remind myself that His burden is light and to cast my cares on Him all the time. lol. Life is never easy but I cannot imagine it without Jesus.
I loved the poem and hope you do well in the contest.
Blessings,
Deb
And I'll lift a prayer for your friend, as well.

    Dear Lady
Thankyou for your read and comment.
I know it is May when you wrote. I did in fact respond but as was the case with many other responses they failed to go because I did not hit the right button. I apologizse and hope this comes home to rest.
My prayer is that you are safe and well and hidden in the arms of Jesus. The world seems to be on downward spiral even since may. How much the world needs to know Christ is alive and well, God is however still fully in control even though man might find that hard to believe. Ezekiel Chapters 39,40 an also latter books of Revelation are important to read. Peace will not come until Christ returns.

    Hi, Graham ~
I've been gone, so I didn't know this was late! lol.
Our God is, indeed, in control. I think the Chruch (the body of those who love Him and have committed to His purpose) needs to step up. I know I do. Working within the church has always been my calling but I know I fall short outside those doors. I've begun to pray for boldness and that I will refuse to allow fear to have a seat at my table, so to speak. The apostles had to have some fear as they set out on their missionary journeys, faced the unknown, and proclaimed Jesus to strangers, fellow Jews, and hostile cultures. I should be no different - feeling fear but not allowing it to make my decisions. That's my prayer for you, as well. There will be no true peace - no physical peace or worldwide peace - until we see Jesus return, but spiritual peace is available. It's our job to give it freely, as we received it.
I hope this finds you and yours well. Please excuse the typing errors. I'm in a chair that's far too low and I HAVE to get my fingernails trimmed! lol
    Blessings,
    Deb

Beautiful, but I count 32 lines, and the contest states poems should be 40 lines. Again, so nice, lovely rhyming, just needs eight more lines. Take care.

Can you add eight more lines please?

    Dear Pockietoo
I Apologize for such a long delay in responding to your May 2023 comments on a poem My DREAM
I did try and respond but did not appreciate the complexity of FanStory so You did not, like others have response until now. I doubt it much point in adding 8 lines now but thanks for letting me know. Christmas greetings and Happy New year

Thank You dolly I guess I tend to miss a few minor points like commas and exclamation marks at times. Generally, I try to write without any full stops, commas etc. Maybe I need a rethink there.

Punctuation can alter the meaning of words, it is worth using it x x x
