I like the idea of talking directly to your heart. It's very original and, having had a few heartbreaks myself, I can certainly understand the reason for it. I love, "Stop skipping beats when you see him." Isn't that how we all describe it when we're attracted to someone?
Just one quick editing question: is there a reason you capitalized the "A" in "Again" in the last line?

Thank you so much! That's a very good question! The only reason I capitalized it is to give it more emphasis. However, I do understand if it's distracting. Thanks for reading!

I proofread, so things that stand out to me might not to anyone else. I questioned it because you'd used lower case in a similar situation earlier in the poem, and I'm a stickler for consistency. On the other hand, though, it's your poem. If you did it that way for a specific reason that's important to you, it's certainly your choice.

I can identify with your words here as it takes a while to recover from a broken heart and we wonder why we do it! We are fragile at times and love can mess us up! Love the sentiments here, love Dolly x
