Well Jim. A perfect ending and epitaph for Eddie WTF Philips.
As you know, I don't play golf but I did learn a lot from your two books I followed here on FS. I appreciate that.
Good luck on your publishing venture and on your next project you share with us.
Cheers,
John

Thanks so much, John, for being a loyal follower of both my books. I'm so glad, as a non-golfer, that you still managed to enjoy them. And thanks for all of your reviews and comments. That means a lot to me, pal.

What a fitting end to Eddie. His tombstone was exactly what made him Lucky Eddie. This was an excellent story, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for sharing your interesting characters.

Oh, that was a lovely ending, Jim! I had better start composing my epitaph now, I think, although... I was planning to have my ashes scattered over someone's barbeque.

You likely won't get many followers from beginning to the end as golf isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it would save for the fact I prefer V-8. Thanks for cuing me in on the releases. It was a joyous read.

Thanks for being a loyal follower, Tom. I really appreciate it.
I think I prefer V-8 to tea too, but sometimes I'm in the mood for tea. It surprises me that the majority of folks who have been reading this, actually don't play golf, for which I'm flattered that it was able to hold their interest despite being about golf.

I have enjoyed all your stories, because I'm a sportsman, I understand golf to a fairly competent level, so your stories were really about friendships, and the adventures thereof, offspring happen naturally anyway, and I appreciate that angle also, beautifully written, blessings Roy

The epitaph worked out perfectly in the body of the story on my computer. What a great epitaph that was -- for sure! It was the perfect cap on a very fine story, Jim. You should be proud of this!

This ending was perfect. I think you may want to work on the epitaph a little. I think the spacing when haywire. Thank you for sharing this novel with us. I do hope you find a real agent or publisher. In today's world it's hard to do. They are only publishing woke stuff. The reasons I've been turned down are amazing.

Thanks, Barbara. How does the tombstone look in your browser? In mine it looks fine. This was very tricky to do. I actually have a nice .jpg image of it my daughter created for me, but there was no way to insert it into the posting (like you can with the picture at the beginning.) I have suggested a revision to Tom for their FS software to allow this, but I haven't seen it included yet.
You're right about publishing today. I don't go in for that woke nonsense, and it doesn't sound like you do either.

I have this:
EDWARD ?Eddie?
PHILLIPS "
and it's like that on every line.

The same.

Hmm. Which browser do you use? (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari, some other)
-
Edge

Thanks for letting me know, Barbara.
I entered the text of the tombstone below it, so folks using a different browser than Firefox, which I use, and have problems with it can read it.

Perfect!!!!
