Ah, we who are grandparents will quickly understand your poem, anonymous...
It seems there is always and ever a prayer on our lips (or in our pocket)--for just as we prayed for our own children, that feeling is intensified as we watch the next generation blossom and bloom in a world where young children are practicing "sheltering in place" along with trying to learn and enjoy their peers.

It seems there is always and ever a prayer on our lips (or in our pocket)--for just as we prayed for our own children, that feeling is intensified as we watch the next generation blossom and bloom in a world where young children are practicing "sheltering in place" along with trying to learn and enjoy their peers.

love in your heart. This is a great poem regardless of contest.
It showed your strengths in poetry writing and love for your
grans. Your word choices were excellent, the meter was
smooth as were the rhymes, and your message was loud
and clear. The picture was perfect, and the color scheme and
font were great. I loved how you gave God credit for all He
does.

Your poem expresses well your concern with the new little people in your family and in your life. My only concern is the last line of the 2nd verse, which does not seem to scan well. You may try to change that. Otherwise, all is good, and I wish you good fortune in the contest.

Julie, my sweetie! Do you know what its like to feel that something is off in something you have written, but you decide to see what others say. That is how I felt, and I rely on my best reviewers like you to not nit pik, but point out when you feel it too. Let me say, once again, I love you!! I changed that line many times, and finally wasn't looking at it objectively anymore. I like the idea of a pocketbook and writing under the moent inspiration. I guess you say you're the third in line is because you're a grandparent.
I enjoyed the rhyming pattern and the peaceful tone of this poem.
