This is a very well written poem about the beautiful cat in the picture. The poem about the dog is written very well too! I enjoyed reading and reviewing these two poems. love and blessings, Teri

That was a clever idea, Darla, when you gave the cat and dog personalities. Wendy and I do that with our pets. I am going to wait until after the poem a day contest gets over before our next meter lesson.

This is cute and it's fun. Please let me suggest some small changes:
1) Cat: You have repeated the 2nd line. Did you mean to?
verse 1 last line scans better if you delete 'some'.
3 line 3 I think you meant it to start at 'I love ... '
2) Dog: 1 3 I love (being) scratched ...
2 1 I will 'lie' by his feet (not 'lay')
2 2 .... 'well' fed (not 'real')
2 3 ... and play." close speech
Tonight my cat was eating left-over rice from my plate! He probably wouldn't touch it in his bowl, but he thinks anything humans eat must be good. :) All the best, Julie Lau

Dogs and Cats have been fighting for out attention for thousands of years and nobody has won yet. What a wonderfully written poem. Best of luck with your writing!
Have a great day, and God bless.

These two poems are both very creative cite and interesting.i could relate to each as we've always had a couple cats and a dog. At first I thou :))ght the title expressed that the dog was writing a poem about the cat, then I realized. Good work! :))
