This is a very well written poem about your step family. You used very good descriptive words that were loving and kind. Please check out this one thing:
Everyone s
knew each other's name.

Why is there an s after Everyone s?

love and blessings, Teri

Why are you putting two poems in one post? It seems that you are describing two different periods in your life. I like the second one better than the first.

It sounds like you are very proud of the school you attended here. Everyone is different and we are all entitled to have an opinion in a democratic society, just before careful you don't lose your freedom to speak your mind, a fine write, good rhymes with much wisdom, love Dolly x

Hi again.

I have been a teacher for most of my life so I have seen school pride in action in many schools - sometimes it is stronger than others. Clearly it remains strong in your mind at your old school.

I am a little curious about the pirate mascot - it seems like a slightly strange emblem for a school to choose. Do you know the story behind it?

In any case a well-constructed tribute to your alma mater.

Steve

No, I don't know the story behind it.
