The meter in the red poem is better than that in the black print. I really like the message that you have in the red poem. You are getting there, Darla.

I enjoyed reading this poem. The first three stanzas makes clear the effect that loneliness can bring. A dark shadow often difficult to shake. The rhyme works well to get the message across. The second half of the poem is more uplifting. I like the change of font - although a more positive colour might work better to match the words ie - green. It will go nicely with the picture. The shift in the remaining - Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow - offers sound advice and a helping hand to guide away from loneliness. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Pookietoo,
These poems flow well and use good rhymes. I agree that loneliness can bring on depression and that all feel it at one time or another in their life.
Both adults and children miss lost pets, not just children.
I think the second poem shows a good way to go through life. It may be a road to get through the grief in the first poem. It that why you posted them together and not as separate poem like usual.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Joan

I posted them together because I entered this contest late. The only way I can enter 30 poems in this contest by May 2 is to post four poems some days, two in one post, two in another.
