Lol, you did it perfectly Yvonne! I'm struggled with mine, but finally finished too.
Haven't posted it yet tho. What a fun and perfect case you made. I should have had you write the details as I just wasn't sure how to instruct, but yours was exactly what was in the back of my mind and I laughed thru much of it with you.

With that being said, I find him guilty for putting his side thru such agony. When it affects the spouses existence to such a degree, there was no other choice but to use my vote this way..... Yes, lock him up, throw away the (bathroom) key.... for about an hour...... And don't let him out until he is wet behind the ears and everywhere else. Then put him on parole for the rest of his life.

Great job my friend! Thanks so much for doing this contest!

Oh my goodness!
This case could be frightfully real anywhere today as basic human rights are questioned on a regular basis.
I think I could be a fence sitter, (after all my star sign is Libra) for I can see both sides of the argument. Having said that I guess I'd go with Mr Murphy
but with the repercussions Mrs Murphy states.
Mr Murphy may well lose his wife too.
Blessings
Shirley

Lol. A wonderful script for the contes. I think the judge needs to give both of them a warning, then insist on some marriage counselling. They are both right - and yet both wrong. The judge should require the man to wash his hair weekly (at least), and should require her to stop nagging, and for both to remember that in a marriage each should be trying to encourage the other to be the best person they can be - not defiant and stubborn (the man), and not harsh and judgmental (the wife). Lol. Both guilty!

Me, too. Always seeing both sides of the coin has caused me some discomfort at times.

Nicely written. Good work.
onlookers, mainly people supporting each side, and a few curious onlookers. - My wife always points out my echos.
Both right. Dismiss the case as unactionable. And then fine Ralph for not registering himself or wearing a dog collar and tags.
Best wishes.

Pretty good script!

Isn't it always a matter of opinion as to one's look and the way a person with them feels as they have to contend with it.

I think he should do a bit of cleaning and meet his wife with a bit better look.

I vote that he is guilty and at least needs to get a bit of a trim!

Hello Yvonne,
This is a bit of a dilemma. I can see both sides of the story (I'm a terrible juror). Obviously the issue is deeper than hair or makeup. If they love each other, why wouldn't they do all they could to please the other person? Marriage is about compromise, at least in part. I think if I were the judge, I'd have to throw this out as a frivolous lawsuit, or perhaps I would sentence them both to marriage counseling to see if the marriage could be salvaged. The length of the hair wouldn't bother me so much as the fact that it's unwashed. Can you imagine what his pillow must look like? If looks were the issue here, I would say that the wife is on shaky ground. What if she gains weight and he doesn't like it, or her hair turns grey or white or her once proud breasts start to sag? Hmmm... a whole lot of ways this could go south. Thanks for sharing this gal, I'm sorry I can't give a more definitive answer. Have a blessed day.
Tom

Well, first of all, if her hair turns gray/white, that's something she can't help, and in many cases, due to medication, neither is weight gain. Thank you for a great detailed review.

Hmmm, I think a compromise is in order, Yvonne, for the hairy
hubby. Of course, no bowl cut--just neaten it up and get rid of
any critters. You did a great job with your contest entry. I enjoyed
reading it. Your formatting made it easy to follow this 'trial.' The
details from both sides were well-presented. I believe the wife was
a bit overbearing, but then the husband needed to freshen up his
looks. This was a fun case to build your entry from. Great job
tackling a script format.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

This seems like a very good short script you have penned for the contest. I am not a script writer, but I have read plenty on Fanstory. You used very good dialogue and very good imagery. Best wishes in the contest! love and blessings, Teri

Reminds the days when my wife cut her hair short. Religious people had their say, and I must admit it was something different. But like I told her then. "It's your hair on your head, get a flat top and shock them all."

Hahahaha. Good for you. I had a cleaning girl who was Pentacostal and she frequently talked about women cutting their hair. I don't think God minds show we wear our hair, but more about our behavior.
