When there is nowhere for the snow to go, then I expect if does cause flooding when it melts. How awful that is, and the winter should be starting to subside hopefully, a poignant poem, love Dolly x

Thank you so much for your kind review and words for this poem about our seemingly endless winters. It really could be worst. Lol

You did a great job with the prompt. Your syllable count was correct, and you had the internal and ending rhymes. I also like the picture you supplied. I hope the weather gets better for you soon! Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Bless your heart.
I don't know where you are, but I hope it stops soon.
I used to live in the mouintains of Colorado, having moved from Georgia, and felt the same way.
Come on, sunshine!

This essence poem, When Will It End? has the proper formatting and seems to indicate an attitude of "Enough already!" when it comes to the extended winter weather.

i prefer the cold weather
much easier to put clothes on to get warm
then to take clothes off to stay cool lol

this was a great essence poem
i like how the inner rhyme is on the same syllable in both lines

thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest!

Shelley, you are more like me than I realized even the last couple times we chatted. One word sums it up for me, and that is "menopause." Haha!
However it worries me, as I remember how damaging the floods can be. And one other thing is how hard it is on my husband every time he goes out to shovel and plow. The good news is it does end, and then we appreciate
Spring all that much more. Love your comments tho, as I hear you all too well. (Hugs)

Haha. This is an entertaining piece of poetry dear anonymous! The inner and last line fit together perfectly. This should do well.
