Way to go, "My Guilty Pleasure Contest Winner." I just stopped around again tonight for a few minutes to check out a few fans story creations and ran across this one. Your creativity shines through again. I like how you created a kaleidoscope of characters that all seem to, "take the cake." L O L

I like your list of favorite males, but didn't know about Robert Redford cake. I like that your mind's in the kitchen, whether or not you named foods after each of these men. Enjoyed seeing your cake art. Best wishes in the contest. Carol

Hi Shelly, I sure appreciate all of your kind words for my silly scrumptious men's poem. You and I must be similar ages for you to like my faves! Thank you so very much my dear friend. Debi

Ciao ! you now have 5 votes.

Men as your guilty pleasure got me hyped.

I have been having crushes all my life for actors starting off with Leonard Nimoy as Spock.

Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole followed.

Then I discovered James Dean and my heart throbbed.. it s the damaged characters actors play that I fall for.

As the years passed the list just got longer.

Burt Lancaster in The Rose Tattoo and Charlton Heston in Ben-Hur caught my eye too.

Good thing I never got married. ( biggrin).

The only two actors on your list that never appeal to me were Robert Redford and Tom Cruise.

The first aged badly but I never liked him nor his films even in his youth

The second I just don't like the films he does .. I watch the trailers then decline including Top Gun.

First of all my dear Tempeste, thank you for the honor of your vote. And you put me on top, for the time being anyway. I so appreciate that.
I used from different areas of actors because they fit in well, but wasn't crazy for all of them, just a few.. I loved Mickey Dolenz so much that called my daughter, Michelle so I could nickname her Mickey.
I was a little young for some that I mentioned, but I was the second to youngest of nine, so grew up with watching what others in the family watched. And believe it or not, (because I just used him in my grandson's haiku) but could take or leave Tom Cruise. I loved how my grandson did the Risky Business dance, and needed another guy named Tom on this one, but not a huge fan. Thanks for the vote and the fun review my sweet friend.

Excellent poem about your favorite actors. The picture of the cake is cute. Even at 64, I still get crushes. Now is Pedro Pascal. He has the whole package, handsome, funny, a great actor.. sigh. Today is his birthday. Can you bake a cake for him? Hehehe

The rhymes and meter are not forced and they flow well.

the structure makes sense, it draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

I do not know this Pedro Pascal, but I must look him up. I think we all admire and have throughout our lives. This was a fun one for me, because I don't get to do the pretend thing too often anymore, but most of the people I mentioned I dreamt about at one time or another. I even nicknamed my first born Mickey after Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees. I must have had one big crush, huh?? Lol... Thanks for the delightful and fun review, my sweet friend.

I think we are born with eyes that can wander, but we know that being tempted is not bad, it's what one does with that temptation that brings the rain cloud in on a pin, your godly soul to win, beautifully written dear Debi, most enjoyable, blessings Roy

I sure appreciate all of your kind words for my silly scrumptious men's poem. But yeah, it was mostly those younger year infatuations. Like I said, can't compare w my real life Teddy Bear. Thank you so very much my dear friend. Debi

What a fun list of men and the "guilty pleasure" is not in the bedroom but in the kitchen! I love that! And I don't know of the Robert Redford cake but I did attend a school where Danny Glover sent his adopted girls.
Best wishes in the contest!

I admire people that create edible art. You take all that time working on your creation just to have it devoured. A picture is all you have left, if you remembered to take one.
Excellent entry for the contest. Good luck.

Debi, this brought about grins and giggles from the first to the last stanza. Your selection of famous or infamous names certainly embraces the hall of fame or hall of flame depending on one's mindset. Your husband is the lucky man amongst these one time desserts, I am sure he is still the apple in your eye.
