A very sad, but honest piece of poetry. Relationships and social interactions are so important. At least you have the reassuring comfort of your parents. And you have a Friend who will never leave you.

Thanks! This had happened years ago. It is resolved now.

This is a good entry into the SAD poem contest. The text is a good size for reading. The message is presented with clarity and is easily understood. You use great descriptions about the depression you suffered throughout your life. I really enjoyed the last line in verse one comparing depression to an evil fiend. The spacing of text in your poem box is imbalanced. Drop the first line down one space so it matches the spacing at the end of your poem. Your visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

This is a brave post. Despite your depression, I see that you are still able to write about it, and you do it well. You are lucky to have your parents support you. I encourage you to keep in touch with the Almighty. He will not abandon you. In the meantime, do not abandon yourself.
Well done. Lynda

Your second one he will be telling my story of my life. I had many difficulties as a child and even in my 20sI had some very serious illnesses, so I pray that I never had these problems again. Good luck in the context. Patricia.

Depression can be so difficult to deal with; but you must never give up on the outcome. There are several great doctors out there that will treat depression. Keep writing and telling your story. It will relieve the anxiety of being depressed.

Thank you! I am happy and do have a social life. This happened before in my teen years. I have lots of friends and families. Thank you for your support!

You painted a sad picture of your early years as
depression took over your life, Mystery Author.
However, that doesn't mean former classmates or
anyone should've treated you as they did. I'm happy
your parents supported you. Hopefully, you've improved
and are happier.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Depression is a terrible thing and many suffer with it. Even Winston Churchill suffered from depression but it was understandable as he was trying to defeat Hitler! I have faced a few brick walls and if you can't break them down, try climbing over them, a poignant write, love Dolly x

You have a skilful way of expressing yourself and the depth of emotion you've felt which many people could never put into words. I am so sorry that life has been so hard but I think your poem reveals your own ability to overcome these troubles via your parents (who defended you); God (to whom you can pray) and the fact that not all the people you meet in the future will be "human brick walls." I wish you luck. Keep writing, Debbie

I have made the poem better. Is it now worthy of a five stars rating? Can you please take another look?

Yes, definitely. Sounds good. Regards Debbie
