I enjoyed reading your story. It is very creative. The goat talk added to your story. I am glad there was a happy ending. I don't see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

What smart sheep they were to find an escape route and end up in a much better place. Good thing their keepers were so lazy in keeping up the facilities. This is a clever response to the club prompt.

Thank you so much, debi.
Question. Your avatar is Tinker Bell on a unicorn?
Is that a photograph that can be purchased? My granddaughter loves unicorns.
Just curious.

Hi John,
I've had the picture for so long that I don't remember the site I got it from.
If you go to Pinterest they have a lot of uniorn and fairy pictures. Some are for sale and some are free.

Thank you.

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I was happy at the end where the sheep were well taken care of. I fight about abuse, women, children, animals, and men. It's one of my causes.

I bet the owner of the slaughterhouse was rising sand. I can see this unfolding. I never cared for mutton but to some it is good. Thanks for sharing.

Comment from Emily Barrett
As a sheep lover, I really like this story. I especially liked how the sheep were the heroes of their own story instead of having someone come along and save them right away. When someone did help them, it was when they needed it, showing a beautiful theme that sometimes we need to accept the help of others even when we have been wronged in the past.

Well, that's a lot better than being lamb chops and chicken nuggets for somebodies supper. I don't know why more people don't think about donating their animals to a zoo. What a wonderfully written story. Best of luck with your writing!
Hve a great day, and God bless.

As I read the title I thought .... Robert Conrad's teevee program: Baa Baa Black Sheep an American television series that aired on NBC. It was part period military drama, part comedy.
As for your story, it was entertaining, well written and stirred my curiosity how much loss the slaughterhouse lost. They should have notice the sheep's absences.

When I was writing the sheep?s dialogue, that show never crossed my mind and I did watch it.
I watched the Rat Patrol as a kid and recently came across it on some obscure channel. Of course I sat and watched a few episodes!
Thanks for reading this, Tom.

I hope you are not a lover of lamb for dinner John after saving all these sheep? I loved your quaint and endearing story and I don't think I have ever read a tale about sheep escaping the slaughter house before, so this is quite unique and a pleasure to read, I am glad I am vegetarian and feel no guilt, ha ha ha, love Dolly x

Okay. Okay. I am getting to know you a little better each day. I already know you are an incredible writer, now I can add? a vegetarian who drinks only water and champagne!
I love it?
Thank you so much for reading my club challenge entry. And for your thoughts. And by the way, I don?t eat lamb.
