An amazing attempt at this.
Creating with 8 words, and I reflected
upon what you said. Battled with myself about
what she said, vs. length (why), doubted, redoubted,
then realized exactly what you had accomplished.

You infiltrated my brain and put me on my right side.
An amazing transition. Normally only music or sadness
can take me there.

Thank you,

Doug

I've often written about the incumbent song that I believe that lies within us, not so much in music and lyrics, but an ode to our lives and mission in life, great if we find and express it. Good luck Beautifully written blessings Roy

Fantastic poem in an economy of words, Jane. Wonderful penned and beautifully illustrated too. FanArt? I'm so impressed with this.

Sending you my best today as always and my very best for the upcoming contest.

An interesting entry for the eight word contest. Cute picture and content that makes the reader reflect.

Just a small comment on the word - perspiration. As a creative, I never sit and write while sweating over the paper... unless I am sitting in a sauna. Did you mean perspiration or is it more - determination or perseverance?

Best of luck in the competition.

Thanks for the kind review. I meant for perspiration to represent hard work, the sweat of the brow, so to speak. Do you think that another word would be better?

I think perseverance would be better, personally. Or another word but not - sweat. I understand what you were trying to achieve but perspiration leads the reader off onto another course, as it did with me.
    Just my thoughts :-)

Just today I read, a quote, "A creative adult is a child, who survived." I related to that, so too, I relate to your poem. The mime representing creativity not expressed. It seems sad to me. So, this is good. From your poem, my thoughts went to every place, possible. I feel this of any art form; the creativity, by nature, always wants to do something new and different. So, the dichotomy. Well, I feel creativity is the most powerful strength one can posses. Even if it's held in for a time, it can change the word if it comes out, just in time. As long as it exists, seen or unseen, it carries hope and victory, for humanity. Great poem & image!
