Every child deserves such love and caring...many have parents who are unable to give what they may well have never learned. It is, then, up to each of us to reach out, embrace these 'lilies of the field" and do all we can to break the cycle of poverty, hunger, violence and homelessness.

Your final paragraph emphasizes are that, Tom--God smiles on all who bless a child!

Of course this is lovely if all things are equal which we know they are not even close to being. Many children around the world are orphaned by oppression, war, poverty, disease and inequality. Then whose responsibility is it? That is the more important question IMO.

Of course we all wish for a Utopian world but that is not how the Lord works. It is always good to present a hopeful wish though, yes?

Much enjoyed Tom.

I understand your viewpoint. Still, it's difficult to garner fruit from the field if the field is left to go fallow. Be well, and thanks for your comments and read.

This is an excellent expression of thought - Children: Lilies of the Field - here to bloom brightly. It all makes sense to me and is how children should be raised - nurtured, nourished and loved. But for some who give birth to children and neglect them - they are the weed parents that need to be nipped in the bud. Stop the cycle of oppression. I really enjoyed this thoughtful and tender read.

Thanks for the read and comment. Have a blessed day, and smile on a child if given the opportunity. It may stamp them to pass it along.
