As you say, that pretty much eliminates our poplitical leaders. I wonder if it is possible to find a leader that possesses all of the characteristic that is expressed in the phrase JJ DID TIE BUCKLE. This would take a perfect person, and we all know those don't exist. I've know a lot of unselfish people, but they were not people who excelled as leaders. They were usually modest people who take on back ground rolls.

Everybody these days seem to be feathering their own nests and I have had a few bosses in the past who have been very selfish. Being unselfish is a gift, I enjoyed your post Bill, love Dolly x

On one hand, I think of mother (who often eat last to make sure everyone has enough). But on the other hand, parents are often not willing to listen to the kids as they lay down the law. So the good leader is like a mom in giving but like a counselor who is willing to listen. Another great post!

I agree that a leader should look after their flock, but sadly we see in many institutions from government to religion, that leaders all too often put themselves first.
But still it is good to be reminded a leader has not only rights but also responsibilities to build their teams.

I have never seen a leader with the characteristics you mention in this story. Politicians are of no use to the general population whatsoever. Your writing is well done.
