Oh Tom, I want to reach through my iPad and give my virtual big brother a big kiss! I love that you are always there with caring words or a way to make me laugh. One way or another, you my sweet friend are healing. I just love you to pieces and I have no problem saying it. After all, since I first got here we hit if off like brother/sister. I have some of the best memories with you my sweet friend. Pardon my sensitivity. I have a hard time holding back with certain people. Thanks again for the best review ever!

Hi Paul, I thought of doing that but was worried about too many changes between the stanzas, but maybe will try that next time. Thanks for such kind comments and suggestions, as they are always welcome.

I like the merging of two rhyme patterns in this poem. You've enumerated many of the difficulties that people face on a regular basis. God, family, and friends are always there to help, thankfully. Kenzie's artwork is lovely. Blessings. Carol

I guess talent is just in your DNA! Your granddaughter's artwork is stunning! As is this lovely poem, my friend. Thank you for sharing, my daughter had a couple of tough days at school last week. Mainly your typical 4th grade woes- but she is anxious about tomorrow. Her and I try and share poetry that we've either found or written ourselves at bed time (mommy's little poet) I think your words of positivity, bright side and faith here would make for a perfect share tonight!! If you don't mind, of course. Wonderful read, as always!

Mainly your typical 4th grade woes- but she is anxious about tomorrow. Awe Jessica, speaking of DNA, you must have an Angel for a little girl, as her mom is sure one. I love that you do poetry with her, as my mother used to do that with me and now I do it with my grand babes. I will say one line, than they do the next. That is why I tend to do so many Dr Seuss type kids poems. I cannot tell you how much Joy you have given me since we met, and I am not sure how you could be any sweeter. I have just said a prayer for her and will say another one tonight, that her day will be better tomorrow. There is no greater pain than seeing one of our children hurting. And I would love if you be honored if you shared the poem with her. I love children so much that they are my favorite thing to write about and for.

Your poem feels more like a see-saw than a merry-go-round as there are the downs of life but the ups of holding on to God's Hand.
