This is starting out strong. I faned you so I can follow throughout. I found myself wondering what the Chief's house looked like.

Good strong characters. I think you are off to a good start, my friend!

We'll get glimpses of his house throughout, but it's not a big deal. Thank you for the kind review.

Every single(not married) cop's house I have ever been in has been sparse and gloomy. I have no idea why. priorities maybe?

I do understand. My boys, before marriage, apartments were the same.

This is an excellent chapter to start your book. The dance in the coffee shop was quite entertaining. I look forward to the next chapter. I don't see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

I'm going to stick with your novel for awhile, Barb, and see how it goes. The first chapter has set things up nicely. The characters are interesting. Character flaws might add something to the story.

I'm positive character flaw will add to the story. They both have them. Thank you for dropping by and leaving this kind review.

Barbara, I am so excited to be able to read some of your work. This is a great prologue. I love the picture of the girl. You used great descriptive words and great dialogue. I look forward to reading more of your work. This was a six star post to me. love and blessings, Teri

This is good, since in your last novel I came in on the middle of it. Here I'm at page one and can be fully engaged.

So far I feel you've done well to introduce a few characters. I'm sure more are coming.

I look forward to more of your faith based novel.

This post did not show up in my messages as a notification. Would you know any reason?

Thanks. John

I have no clue why that's happening. A few of the people I follow I'm not always getting their posts either. I have a feeling there's something wrong with the system. Thank you for the kind review.

No suggestions, but I assume Seth is young and single .... Looking forward to seeing how this develops - I like a good romance. Just wondering: the dancing seems to be concurrent with the place open as a bakery and coffee shop, so they might have to organise who serves coffe etc and who organises the dancing, otherwise people like Seth might not hang around waiting. Always good to have a couple of dogs in a story too. Well done. Enjoyable read.

The dance was only for Ms. Sadie but does happen once in a while. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

I think your novels are very romantic with some of life's problems added in, which is very romantic to me. There is nothing romantic about two women fighting over one man and being bitchy. I really like the beginning of this one and look forward to more. Very interesting characters.

Thank you for the kind review. I have a feeling the person who does the main complaining feels unless there's sex there's romance. I doubt that person understands true love.

You are probably right. I don't enjoy modern romances because they are all about the sex.

Seth followed behind. "Who's Molly?" [I'm wondering here about Emma wearing her night shirt. I'm thinking that might be revealing, though you didn't mention that. At any rate, should you deal with that issue now, since you have Seth examining her foot and that can be quite revealing. Just a suggestion, but I wonder if other readers have thought the same.]

Seth knelt in front of her, stood, grabbed a throw blanket, and then covered her legs. [OKAY! lol, I'm always a day early with my observations!]

This is a fine introduction to the characters. I'm used to that with you!

Jay

Molly is her Pomeranian. I answered that question when Seth asked. Also there will be more about this night shirt later. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

So pleased to see yes another novel coming from your clever head! As I have stated, many times, you never disappoint your faithful readers. One change to the comment about "Emma's" picture...what Emma may look [it.](like.)

I glad you've started you new story. I this one promises to be fun to read. I sure this red head will liven up the town. The cop seems very serious about doing what he is hired to do and keeping the town safe. I can't wait to see where this story goes. I enjoyed the line dance too.
