Thank you so much for this honour. It has made my Easter a very special one indeed. :-)

It's this kind of poem that gives you that "aha" moment. I love how you started with the metaphor of ocean of the plentiful number of words and yet, if we listen to the right people, we can glean "pearls of wisdom" - and this poem is a pearl! Best wishes in the contest!

I so agree and the English language has a sea of rich pickings and finding pearls is easier than in other languages, complexity is often beautiful, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

This one-line poem, Words, uses ten words to fuse the general with the specific within your metaphor of finding that perfection sought within the seemingly unfathomable world.

Hi DD,
This one line along with its artwork show us the importance of words.
It seems like the artwork is a crystal ball not a pearl.
Yes, words can bring on knowledge and wisdom, which are different.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you, Joan for your review on my one line. Yes, the artwork doesn?t exactly look like a pearl - but in an ocean of words, the imagination can form wonders and the knowledge gained from that? precious. ;-) ~DD

My pleasure. You are right.
Have a great day.

Wow, that is an amazing one-line poem. It's unfortunate those pearls are rather rare though. One has to sift through many empty words to find them. Thanks for sharing your lovely poem, and best wishes in the contest!

How very true are your words in this very effective one-line poem. And I think it can be said to be true whether you are reading the words or writing them. Your poem is a fine example. Congratulations on your win. Well deserved.
