This is another fine tale of escapes and escapades. Again, I wish I had a six to offer. I will undoubtedly get to all your other stories during my time here. You write very well. I enjoyed the heck out of this. And please send out wishes for me to quickly get my new home. :-) Karen

They had Mighty Mouse, why not, "Clver Climbing Cat"?

I liked reading this story. I didn't find anything major to fix. Favorite line about Blossom the cat: The kitten zipped around our house like a demented, bright-colored whirlwind,
I am so glad this already has an All Time Best recognition, because it definitely is well-done. Nice share.

Thanks for taking the time to read one of my past stories. I have not written much lately because I'm taking an online course. The course takes much of my time and attention, which leaves little time for writing. I stop by FanStory a couple of times a week to see what is happening.

Thank you. I loved this sweet story and I love calico (we call them tortoiseshell) cats, and have had several. Brutus (yes, a female) could jump up and pick a mosquito off the wall with her two paws. Stay well,,

Thank you. I love to meet fellow cat lovers. In my part of the country, a calico is a three-color cat and always has some white markings. A tortoiseshell can have three colors, too, but never any white. Thanks for sharing your amusing cat memory. Best wishes in all you do.

Well, that's interesting about the colour difference. So I've owned both. One was a Manx (tail-less), long back legs, hopped like a rabbit and would drive me mad constantly retrieving a squash ball for me to throw when I was trying to study. All the best,
Julie

It is amazing how quickly one can get attached to a critter. Sounds like she had your heart from the start.
I love the climbing story. My dad was of the opinion that if a cat could get itself somewhere, it could get itself out when it was ready. Sound like Blossom proves that point. It's nice she still takes care of you.
This is an entertaining story and well written. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you. Blossom is a unique character. She still thinks she is a kitten after all these years. I will miss her when she is gone. Then again, Blossom might outlive me in the end.

What a charming story about
your elderly calico cat, Blossom. She's quite a
survivor. Some cats just love
to climb. Years ago, our cat
Cleo loved to climb the
curtains, lol! She was adopted
by a sweet young woman who was training to be a vet
tech, as our new landlord
would not allow Cleo to be in
our rented single wide. Have
a wonderful Sunday. Many
blessings ~

What a wonderful story. I have cats, lots of them, and they are such a comfort to me. After I Iost my son, one especially would run to me if I had even a hint of a tear. I can be in one end of the house and he in the other, and he knows. I loved reading about Blossom, a very sweet girl. She's so lucky to have you.

Very sweet tribute to Blossom! Pets can be just as much trouble as a regular child. But they entertain us and that can be priceless. I really enjoyed reading this, reminds me a lot a cat I had that honestly more like a puppy his whole life...followed me everywhere. They're certainly clever and can sense when we need companionship too.
Very nice! Good luck in the contest,
Brandon

Thank you. Blossom is a unique individual. She has blessed me with her presence for a long time. I hope she sticks around for a few more years.

Nice tribute. Animals, especially cats and dogs, seem to glom onto us and it's difficult to let go of them. It sure was that way with ours. I had to put our last one down about a year ago and still miss her today. Thanks for the read. Good luck in the contest. Stay well.

Thank you. Yep, the hard part is when we must let them go. Blossom has given me twenty-two years, but I know she can't live forever.

You're very welcome.
