How interesting! I thought of "wake" as that tumultuous churn of water left by a speeding vessel as well as "wake" --that custom of mourning the deceased...and both fit well in this context.
What a mess mankind has made of our world! That photo is riveting!

That photo was taken right beside my cousin's property owns a 140 acres up on the Bonaparte plateau in the caribou country. The fire came so very close to his home. He is a voluntary firefighter forestry firefighter who was able to save his house. I'm glad you like it. I'm glad you're taking the time to look at it thank you so much!

That's an interesting picture and subject you have written about. Some believe it will all end in fire and others think it will be the 1000 years of peace on Earth. Both are a good reason to love Jesus and do good to others. You might have a problem with the second line. In my part of the US, devours is three syllables. If not in yours, you might put that in your notes.

Hi yes it is and something I think we should all look at for sure we see all around us the massive climate change affecting our world into an already taxed planet we certainly can afford to do more. Sometimes I have to look up a word for syllable count. Devour is one of those. I pronounce it as 3 but I suspect it's two.
Man isn't the only thing that succumbs to flames, the whole landscape obviously. Good luck in the prompt.

This is a scary write as man seems hell bent on destruction. We have seen the results of man's greed in Ukraine and other countries around the world and it is only a matter of time before we blow ourselves up, this is a very real possibility, thank you for your posting a poignant write, love Dolly x
