I enjoyed reading this story. I like the idea of, a smiley face here. At 71 I do not know how to use emjois, it seems you do not either or you faked not knowing. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

    Thank you.
You are right on both counts. (I'm 72)
I could prob'ly figure out how to do emojis, but I have to have my protest 'somehow'!

This is a lovely, reassuring letter to someone you love very much. All your feelings come through in the smiley faces and asides. You might change the last line. It can be read two ways, very different ways. I caught the wrong meaning first and wondered why the lovely letter if you passed on (with no love for her.)

This is a delightful letter and very touching. I kind of wish my husband had thought to do something like that before he passed away, but he wasn't the type. I think your wife must really appreciate the letter and you.

I was a little confused when the narrator said he was keeping the coffee mugs since he had supposedly passed on, but it's not a big deal. I enjoyed reading this. I loved your last lines about Gus. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you. I'll go back and check, but my intent was to have that in the paragraph where i spoke of what I would do with stuff if she went first.
And thank you immensely for the six stars!

It's hard to beat Gus McCrae when it comes to sweet-talkin' the ladies.
I like your use of old man emogies (smiley face here). A sop to world we're not all that comfortable in.
At first I had trouble with the writer speaking in a way that didn't seem congruous with his death. But it dawned on me that that writing 'from the grave' isn't literal. I suppose it's easy to forget you're dead when you're not.

He was so sure it was a car wreck that took him, I have to give him that.
I'm guessing he had good reason for that prediction.

A moving letter, Frank. Well done.

Thank you. My wife and i have ICE letters prepared, but I wanted a different kind of one.
And thank you for the six stars!

I don't know what ICE stands for in this context.

    In Case of Emergency.
many people have ICE in their smart phone contact list so helpers at an accident can call the victim's spouse, not knowing their name.

Ah! Yes, I have an In Case of Emergency designate as well. I'd just never heard it boiled down to ICE before. I hear ICE, I think of Immigration and Customs Enforcement . . . or the stuff I pour my bourbon over.
