Hi Jay, I wish I had a six star for
this poem my sweet friend...

it truly is one day at a time...
and we can only live our lives for
what that day brings...so many
changes everyday...

but we can count on one thing...
God has a plan for us all...and it
will be that plan that will take us home...

I love your poem sweet guy...so very well
written...love Linda xxoo

Your poem was very well written, and had perfect rhyme to it. Your poem was a brave and courageous one to write. I have to agree with you that life is a day to day privledge that has no guarantees. I haven't read very many poems in Sonnet form, however, I did enjoy reading yours. I have to believe myself, that one day at a time is enough for us. Thank you for sharing your note and poem. Nicely done. Thank you for sharing.

You can still write poems with perfect rhymes. I think you will be around for another decade at least. You are ready to face the exit of earth yet you are not sad. This is a brave and courageous poem.

Well done.

I agree, life is a day-to-day privledge with no guarantees. I so enjoyed your thoughts on this subject in Sonnet form.

Sending you my best today as always, and blessings for the day.
Sally :))

Greet each day as if it were your last. A scroll in the book, The Greatest Salesman by Og Mandino. I suspect this to be your motto. I am curious to know how many hours a day you put pen to paper.

I agree. One day at a time is enough. Don't plan ahead because god has already mapped out your travels. I'm sorry you had to leave your old home by the sea. Concrete jungle is foreign to us. Loved the AA BB rhyming and the poem had a rhythm like a rocking horse. K xx

-Thanks for sharing your note and poem, jaybird.
-I agree about living one day at a time,
but sometimes it is hard.
-You wrote a good poem about the decision to do so.
-I like the contrast between "lofty roads" and "lower loads."
-A very good closing couplet.

The only tome we have on earth is this very moment, which is organic we can't change that, not being able to engineer time, only God can do that. So we our best with what we've got, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

No one knows when the end will come for us. So the only thing that we can really do is to live life one day at a time and trust God to take us to the end and at the end we are without sorrows. So remind us to live just one day at a time. Patricia.

I totally agree with your philosophy of 'sufficient' unto the day...' Your poem perfectly reflects this theme. Its musicality is joyful and theme is celebratory.
