This really rings true! You are in a sense 'stuck' with your family and on occasions you might wish you could change them! The rhyming scheme and rhythm are natural and unforced here which adds to the overall positive note suggesting 'blood is thicker than water'!

Your poem about family read well, Beth. I enjoyed reading it
I liked the way you described one from an infant to an older
age and how s/he learns at every step of the way. You did a
great job describing the many differences in all families and
how vital it is to learn the best qualities from those who are there
to teach. I agree about the last few lines--all learn from early
on and those values mold us into the people we become.

I liked the way you described one from an infant to an older

Very well written and your words are so true! Being the youngest of a big family, there are a lot of your words that I can actually relate to. I love my family so much but we are all so different. So I think that God purposely placed me here and I am doing exactly as I should be, by trying to keep our clan close. Even if it is extremely tiring sometimes. Ok, most of the time! Thank you for writing this, as it made me think more clearly about my role as the youngest in this large family of mine!

Thank you for the nice review. I see that you have recently joined fanstory. You will find a family here that is different from your biological family, but is very loving and caring of its members. It takes a while to get to know us, but if your stick with us I'm sure you will be glad you did.

Your smooth poetic form and use of words captures the importance of family. I like how you mention it is in God's plan where we end up. I also like the line "perfect not's an option." So true, family is never perfect. Excellent theme for a poem.
