LOL, an excellent little poem written with great humor and a fun message for such few words. I do think it is a good entry for this contest, good luck. It also occurred to me that it appeals to the kid in all of us, regardless of age. Good job. Terry.

OMG You nailed me. That is so me in High School. I was bored with most of my class and could drift off to daydreaming in a second. Maybe that was the stimulus for my desire to write. Thanks Rickie

Now this was funny. I loved the filter on the picture. Drove the point home beautifully. I remember when my kids were in school how every year at one particular time or another, they too would just mentally vacate. I guess as adults we do too and that's why they give us two weeks of vacation. Your poem was very cute and clever. Gretchen

As a prior middle school teacher, I must agree with your poem. The text is a great size. The message is clearly stated and true for so many kids, boys and girls. I love your visual. It fits perfectly. I hope you placed in the contest.

This is a fun 5-7-5 entry for the contest.
All syllables are in check to relay a lighthearted message of being back at school and how easy it is for the young ones to be over it from being overloaded. So much homework and not enough quality teaching in some cases. Good job and good luck in the competition.

This is a really good five-seven-five entry for the contest. I like the way you have rhymed this short poem. I though this was written by the school kid at first, but after reading the notes, it appears to have been written by the parrent.

My grand kiddos are reaching this state of educational ennui.
Hmm. I think I'll have them look up that word.
I said it out loud to my 8 year old grandson and he said:
"Meme? What foes N-U-I stand for?"

Douglas I looked for that and I know the norm for' a real haikus are more nature, but since it didn't mention any theme . I guess I like going for humor whenever I can. So I hope it Is ok since it didn't specify, .
